¬Good things come to those who wait! It's certainly been a wait but boy will it be worth it!!

The new Mary Trembles album 'Borrowed Ears, Borrowed Eyes' is almost cooked!

We were all expecting it to be ready by now but when you're chasing excellence it sometimes takes a little longer. Mike Major (At The Drive-In, Sparta) has done an amazing job with the mixes from his studio in Florida and they are sounding fantastic. The band sat on the couch throughout the mixing process (albeit a couch on a different continent, proving the world really is smaller than we thought) and marveled as he proved himself a genuine member of the Mary Trembles team adding his own feel to the tracks prepped by the band and the wonderful Jeff Lovejoy.

Mastering, the final step, is underway as this is being written. Alan Yoshida at Ocean Way mastering in LA is weaving his magic and adding the final touch of gloss. We have just received the first six songs back from him and WOW, HE IS GOOD. Alan is quite a character, as amusing as he is brilliant.

This album is shaping up to be everything we hoped it would and we are now chomping at the bit to share it with you all. With sneak preview shows coming up in June/July you will get to hear some songs from the new album live. We hope to see you all there. Tell your friends and stay tuned for the release date!!

¬MARY TREMbLES play Skinny's Music on Saturday 22nd December. Sadly it's the last instore for the legendary independent record store as it's closing its doors on xmas eve. For good. Come and help celebrate 30 years of fine service. Also performing are Intercooler, Iron On and An Horse. It all kicks off at noon. All Ages and free! 85 Elizabeth St, Brisbane City.

¬ Thanks to all who attended MT shows in LA, NYC, London and Singapore last month. A good old time was had by all. The new album is coming along nicely with Mike Major (Sparta, At The Drive-In) currently mixing tracks in the US. More details on release date soon..

¬ MARY TREMbLES have been invited to play the 2007 CMJ Music Marathon in New York City from October 16-20. The awesome line up includes Band Of Horses, Spoon, Intercooler, Joan As Policewoman, 1990's, Coheed and Cambria, UNKLE, Mates Of State, The Matches and heaps more! ¬ MARY TREMbLES embark on an east coast tour in May/June with Intercooler kicking off at The Globe Theatre in Brisbane on Fri 18th May. The tour will take in Qld, NSW, ACT, Vic, SA and Tas.

¬ Before the tour MT play a special show at The Zoo in Brisbane on Wed 16th May. Presented by triple j radio's Home & Hosed program and recorded by triple j, the show also features The Cops and Operator Please. It'll be filmed for JTV too, to be aired at a later date. Doors at 7:30pm, MARY TREMbLES on stage at 8. 18+ and free entry!

¬ Don't forget MT play The Troubadour in Brisbane on Friday 9th February, with special guests Violent Soho & Stature::Statue.

¬ MARY TREMbLES are confirmed play the Big Day Out at Gold Coast Parklands on Sun 21st Jan. The final acts have been announced for 2007 and include Tool, The Killers, Jet, Muse, Violent Femmes, My Chemical Romance, Peaches, The Vines and plenty more. Check out full details here. ¬ MARY TREMbLES have been chosen as a 'Next Crop' artsist on triple j radio for Ausmusic Month. Each day during November triple j will feature an up and coming Australian band. MARY TREMbLES will be featured on Tuesday the 14th.
